That's actually a win. You've invested a fraction of what full development would cost to discover this early. Our Phase 1 validation intelligence and report will also identify potential pivot directions - alternative customer segments, problems, or approaches that show more promise. Many of our most successful projects came from pivots identified in Phase 1.
We don't recommend it. Designs are based on assumptions about what customers want. Phase 1 validates those assumptions with real market data. Your existing designs won't be wasted - they can be applied to a product that's been validated to work. But building from validated foundations dramatically increases your chances of success.
Building first means spending months and often six figures on development before you know whether anyone wants your app, will pay your price, or can be acquired at a viable cost. Validating first means proving demand, pricing, and acquisition economics with real data at clear go/no-go gates - starting with market intelligence, then real-world demand tests - before you commit heavily to design and build. Most validation services run your idea through ChatGPT with a few prompts and hand you a generic report. We've built something fundamentally different. Our proprietary tools scrape and synthesise real market data - competitor pricing, download volumes, review sentiment, keyword demand etc - and feed it into pricing strategy and unit economics models we've developed over 15+ years of running thousands of app install and user acquisition campaigns. We then stress-test acquisition assumptions with real ad spend data, model your payback periods, and layer expert human analysis on top of everything. The result isn't an opinion - it's a definitive GO, PIVOT, or NO-GO backed by real numbers. Overall, we prefer you spend your investment on promising ideas, not hunches. And if you/we do move forward, we test in the real world first before investing heavily on design and development - i.e. can we actually acquire users, and will they pay? That's the data you can actually rely on. This method also allows you to test multiple ideas, or versions of your primary idea to identify the one with the most promise. The result is you avoid spending all your available capital all on 1 idea based on assumptions and instead only move forward if/when an idea shows clear significant potential. Many clients do continue with us because we already understand the product deeply and have a track record of executing highly effective MVPs, but you're free to take the validation report to any development team.
